Certificates are awarded upon completion of a course, certificates are stored at a workspace level, and each workspace includes a default certificate, additional certificate templates can be created.

Certificates menu
To update or add a new certificate template, go to the Setup tab, click the Site settings menu, and then Certificates.
Each Workspace will have its own set of certificates, including the default template called: Me Learning Certificate of Completion, which cannot be changed.
To add a new certificate template, click Create new template:
To edit a certificate you have created, click Edit
Once you click Add or Edit, the Certificate editor opens with the following editable fields:
- Template name:
- In this field, provide a name for the template or a brief description. Below this field, a checkbox is available to make the template the workspace default. This means that any courses transferred to the workspace will automatically use this template by default. Only one default template can be selected.
- Header and Footer Images
Adding Images (optional)
- Click Select file
- Choose an image from the media library
- Click Select
Managing Images
- View: Click the eye icon
- Remove: Click the bin icon
- Position: Choose left, center, or right using the buttons below the image
Placement
- Header image appears at the top of the certificate
- Footer image appears at the bottom of the certificate
- Content:
- The content is what will actually be displayed on the certificate.
- Body text:
- The text editor will allow you to change the body of text,
- Dymanic tags
- You can also use dynamic tags, which are variable fields that will pull specific information from the database, depending on who the certificate has been sent to.
- For example, {{learner/firstname}}, will pull the learner's first name, and display this on the certificate.
- To add a dynamic tag, use the drop-down box to the right of the editor, clicking on one of the options will insert it into the body of text.
- Body text:
- The content is what will actually be displayed on the certificate.
- Preview:
- The preview button will allow you to review the certificate before creating it.
Finally, to complete the creation of the certificate, click the Submit button at the bottom.
You can also choose to make this certificate the workspace default, by clicking Make default certificate, the Default label will then appear next to this certificate to advise this is now the default.
