Editing a notification
You can find a list of notifications by going to Setup → Notifications.
Search: On this page you can find a search bar in the top left corner, you can search for a category, trigger, recipient, or a subject, making it easier to find the right notification.
Status toggle: The Status column shows if a notification is Active or Inactive. You can switch between them, using the toggle, giving you the option to deactivate any unwanted notifications.
Edit: To edit a notification click Edit. This will reveal the title, subject, and content of the email.
- Title: The title of the notification is only visible to administrators.
- Subject: The subject will be the subject line of the email. This field is editable, so you can change it to something more personalised for your users.
- Content: The body of the email message.
- Dynamic tags: Some notifications have dynamic tags - text formatted {{ like this }}.
Dynamic tags pull live data from the system, for example, a user’s first name or the name of an event. To add additional dynamic tags, select the appropriate tag from the dropdown menu in the top right of the text editor and it will be inserted into the line of text you are currently editing. - Save: Once you have finished updating the notification, you can save the changes by selecting Update at the bottom of the page.
- Reset: If you wish to restore the notification to its previous state then click Reset, this will erase any changes made.
- Close: You can close the page without saving any changes, by clicking Close. The changes will still show if you select View on the notification, but will not update the notification, allowing you to revisit a notification before finalising any changes.
Note: These changes will disappear if you move away from the notifications page, unless you have saved a notification.
